Former Scorpion player Samantha Mewis scores for WMNT

Former Scorpion player, Samantha Mewis scored her first international goal in the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament in a decisive win over Puerto Rico 10-0 in Texas this week.  Check out the You Tube video of her goal here.  

Mewis played for Scorpions SC until she graduated from Whitman-Hanson High School in 2011 and headed out to UCLA to play for 4 years under head coach Amanda Cromwell, winning a National Championship in 2013. 

The US Women's team have now qualified for Olympics in Rio this summer.
