May 14, 2016

NEWTON, MA- On Saturday, June 14, FC Boston endured a 2-1 loss on their inaugural start to the PDL season vs Seacoast United Phantoms at Mount Ida College.

The visitors struck first, with Trent Lougheed’s header from a Terence Carter chip across the goal mouth in the 33’ minute.

FC Boston continued the pressure on Seacoast’s back line but could not capitalize. With 3 minutes to go, Seacoast striker, Alencar Junior, led a counter attack and crossed the ball to an open Errol Reid who slotted home the game winner in the 86’ minute.  The game finished 2-1 in favor of Seacoast.

FC Boston (0-1-0) looks to rebound this Saturday, June 21 vs FA Euro New York at Mount Ida College.
